So Office Max has this website called Elf Yourself. Last year we had so much fun taking the perfect picture of each of us and putting it into the program. Last year you could only do one person at a time. Well, my friend Misty sent us her elf family only you can do up to four at a time. How fun!! So we now have one of all three kids: http://www.elfyourself.com/?id

"look mom...no training wheels!!"
This summer we bought both Noah and Zach big boy bikes. Two months ago Noah learned how to ride with out training wheels. Poor Zach wasn't quite ready! The longer he rode we noticed that his bike's training wheels weren't very sturdy. Every time he leaned onto the training wheel it would bend up. He got used to adjusting his riding style so that he wouldn't have to use his bent training wheels. This meant that really he was riding without training wheels, but thought he was. So on Saturday when we took them off he was able to just ride away!

cute conversation...
I was making lunch this afternoon and overheard Noah and Zach talking about their dad's birthday. They were talking about what they wanted to get Travis.
Noah: "Do you know what I want to get dad for his birthday? I want to get dad a new guitar. His old one is missing the strings."
Zach: "I want to get dad an action figure!"
Noah: "You can't get him an action figure. Dads don't like action figures."
Zach: "Sure they do!"
Noah: "No, grown up boys like electrical stuff!"
Zach: "Oh, okay!"
How cute!

feeling sick...
Boy what a day! I feel so sick! My head aches, my body aches, my throat is so sore and swollen, and I wish I could spend the whole day in bed! Yet, there are diapers to change, lunches to make, laundry to do, a house to clean, and probably 100 answers to the question "why!" Even with how I feel today I would not change one single thing. I am so lucky to have such a great family! Sure it would be easy to dwell on how yucky I feel today, but I am trying to focus on the positive things that surround me.
My husband turns 30 this week! How crazy is that! It feels like just yesterday we were newly married. We have been married 7 years! When I look back at all that has happened in these last 7 years how can I been anything but happy.
I realized that I haven't really given any update on the kids. So here goes...
6 year old Noah Bennett- what a true joy! He started kindergarten this fall. He is such a smart kid! Learning comes so easily for him. He is growing up so quickly! He is such a helper and a great big brother. His big accomplishment has been mastering riding his bike without training wheels.
41/2 year old Zachary Allen- my little cozy bear! He remains my only child that loves to cuddle! He loves to show off and follow Noah around everywhere. He started preschool this fall as well. He learns a little different than Noah, but it has been fun to be more hands on and involved. He is always saying things that melt my heart!
2 year old Bailey Ann- miss sassy pants! What an attitude this girl has! (I have no idea where she gets it from!) She is so independent and loves to try and do what her big brothers do. This includes tackling, throwing, kicking, and trying to get away with riding her bike without a helmet. She is all girl though! It has been so fun to have tea parties and play dress up.

saturday fun...
Bailey and Noah loved all of the birds, but the pelicans and the flamingos were their favorites!

here comes christmas...
"Saturday is a special day, it's the day we get ready for Sunday." Or should I say, "November is a special month, it's the month we get ready for Christmas." With the changing of the month my mind starts to switch gears. It is time to start thinking about Christmas! We have gifts that need to be mailed across the country and that takes planning people! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the stores are already playing christmas music, but already I am anxious. It seems like we are always buying presents last minute, and every year we say, "Never again! Next year we will plan better!" My mind reflects on the song mentioned above. November needs to be the month that I make my plan, lay everything out, so that when December comes I am not running around looking for my missing shoe! Hee Hee!
