SERIOUSLY???!!!...

Guess what I get to do today? For those of you who have accused me of always having a clean house take a really good close look!! If I know someone is coming over I am going to clean, but if you happen to just drop by you will usually find me in my pj's, bra less, surrounded by piles. I was probably just in the middle of blogging, checking blogs, email, reading , or something other than cleaning! I am a habitual piler! This is my bedroom at the current moment!
(Good heavens! Travis is right...we really do need to paint in here!)

This is as far as the clean clothes got after I did laundry last week! Now I have the lovely task of going through them all and checking for dirty ones that are probably in there now too!

No scrap booking going on here!! It is just a place for me to place things so that they are obviously off the floor! Why....I don't know! I pile! Its what I do!

On top of my disaster of a room I get to tackle the toy closet. This is the end result after a week of Travis "cleaning" the loft. At the end of the day the loft is clean , but if you try to open the closet door this is what you find. He likes to just chuck the toys in there and then shut the door. Out of sight out of mind I guess!

So there you have it folks! This is my reality! Last week Travis asked me as he pointed to a pile, "See that...doesn't it bother you? " He is happy to shove it into a closet or drawer to get it out of the way, but until I am in the mood to deep clean it or put it where it goes...the answer is NOPE!!

(Well really Yes, but not enough to get me to clean it!)

our little actress...

We were dancing around to primary songs yesterday and when the song, "If you chance to meet a frown" came on suddenly Bailey was doing all the actions! Apparently they must sing this song in nursery.

summer jars...

So my summer jars are finally done!! I got the great idea from a neighbor of mine. We were talking about having things to do during the summer to keep our kids entertained. She said that she made of list of fun things to do and fun places to go. In the fun jar you place things that you could do everyday like eating Popsicles, playing in the backyard pool, going to a park, having a picnic lunch etc... the kids get to draw out a slip everyday. Then in the adventure jar you put places to go and you do one a week. We draw ours on Sunday and then plan a day that week that our adventure can take place! These are places like the zoo, the city pool, children's museum, planetarium, aquarium, splash park, having a sprinkler party with friends, getting ice cream from Arctic Circle etc... My kids had fun putting the lists together and then I just printed them out and cut them up. I got the jars at walmart and used rubons to put the titles on the jars. My kids are loving it!

I also started another idea for the ladies in our neighborhood. I created a private blog where ladies from my neighborhood can post where they are going that week and invite all who want to to come along. (it is private so that creepos don't know where we are going and when!) So far there has been a trip to the zoo, to the splash park, a ladies game night and much more fun. It is great to have a central place where we can go and connect our fun to the fun of others. I created the blog, but I don't have to be the only one coming up with the ideas. The ladies email me for an invite and then they specify if they want to be a contributor to post. Then they come up with the activities and post the when, where, and time. If you want to go you just put a comment on the post. It is so fun!!

morning pigtails...

I love it when Bailey wakes up with leftover pigtails! They stick out kinda funny, but she looks so cute!!

new feature...

So blogger has this new feature. You might have noticed it on the side bar of my blog. Instead of just a list of names it is connected to an RSS feed. So it also displays how long it has been since each blogs last post and then ranks them in order of most recent post to the oldest post! So all of you out there who post like once in a blue moon can now see exactly how long it has been since you updated all of your dear friends!!! I know that I am addicted to blogging, but some of you really leave me wanting current info and updates!! Oh well...not everyone can be obsessed!! The only bummer about the new feature is that if your blog is a private blog it can't connect to see if you have posted!

I think it is kinda neat!

How to do it: Click on Customize in the top right corner. Then click on Add a Page Element on the right hand side. It should be the first option called Blog List. Then you just copy and paste your blog addresses. You can choose different features like the posting status (Which is what I did), but you can also add things like for it to post the title of the latest post or even the first few lines of the newest post!

potty trained...

So I decided that after girls camp was over I would get serious about potty training Bailey! I had half heartedly tried a few months ago, but after a reminder of what an accident was I gave up and vowed to wait until she was more ready. Well this week we started. I am telling you she was practically potty trained that first day. It was just a matter of putting those panties on and she hasn't had one single accident. Not one!! I am amazed. She even makes it through nap time with underwear on!! I haven't attempted overnight yet, but I should. I was worried about the pooping issue because with both of my boys it was like they were potty trained and then it took like 6 months to be poop trained! I hate cleaning poop out of underwear!! Bailey took to that part like a champ too! The only thing that is pretty funny is that when she first needed to poop she said, "Mommy, I don't want my panties anymore. I want a diaper!" All I had to do was explain that she could use the toilet to poop too and she was so excited! I told her I would get her princess panties if she was good about pooping! Yesterday she earned them! Who knew that potty training could be so great!!!

summer is finally here...

There is nothing quite like backyard swimming! We decided to go out in the morning before it got too hot in the backyard, but we ended up going out again this afternoon too!

the results are in...

Well...7 of you who voted were right!

It's a Boy!!!

We went in to have our ultrasound this morning. My appointment was supposed to be at 9:40am. We took the kids with us because we thought they would enjoy seeing the baby and hearing the news with us. Well...the receptionist forgot to pull my chart. We ended up sitting there for and hour and 20 minutes before we actually made it into the ultrasound room!! Unbelievable! Travis had taken time off from work and everything! I was so bugged! During that time Travis took the kids outside to play. A bird pooped all over the sleeve of his dress shirt, Bailey got mud all over and Zach spilled a cup of water in the van. Needless to say not our best appointment! Aside from that we are so excited to be having another boy! All of the kids including Bailey were hoping for a boy too! Well...that is our news!

bailey's trick...

When Travis' parents were in town Pa Pa J taught Bailey a cute little trick. This was the first time I was able to capture her doing it for me on video. Pushing different parts of her face is supposed to control her tongue! I thought it was just too cute not to share!

and....i'm back...

Snow up at camp? Seriously?!!! Unbelievable! So in planning for girls camp we knew that going up into the mountains east of Heber, UT the second week of June the chances of it being super warm was slim, but we had hopes of sunny skies and mild temperatures. Wrong!!! We had just enough calm weather to set up our tents and kitchen before the rain started. Then the next morning the snow came! I would say about 2 inches total fell. It put a little kink in our plans, but our spirits weren't dampened! Not that you can tell that from the face of one of my girls!!

Eating breakfast that morning was quite a challenge. We were trying to make the breakfast with all of the wind! Thankfully we got it done before it really started coming down!

Just a little peek at how our camp looked after the first wave of snow!

No eating here...we ended up huddling in our cars and then finally ended up in the Stake YW presidencies covered shelter.

The sun finally came out that afternoon and although it was cold we were able to finish the day with some great activities and fun around the camp fire!

(I am putting this video here so I can be the first one to post a video of camp. My leader Sherrie has a really embarrassing video that will surely show up on her blog, so although this is not embarrassing, I at least posted first! HA HA and NEENER NEENER!!)

The next morning however we awoke to snow covering our tents. Again! It had snowed during the night! Other than the crazy weather it was such a neat experience to be up in the mountains with my girls. To feel the Spirit and enjoy learning and growing together!

I love girls camp!!!

off to girls camp I go...

Well...after months of planning and weeks of shopping and preparing I am off to girls camp! I leave early tomorrow morning and will be gone until Friday afternoon. This last week was pretty crazy with last minute responsibility shuffling, but I think all of us leaders feel pretty prepared and ready for an awesome week!

I promise to post more often once this camp thing is out of the way!

one more tooth gone & new summer haircuts...

Noah finally let me have a go at his other bottom tooth. This time it was sooooo loose that all I had to do was grab and pluck!

He thinks it is quite fun to stick his tongue through the hole!

I decided to buzz the boys hair this morning. I think they look cute!

getting caught up...

Thanks to hp our computer arrived this morning fixed and working wonderfully! Hurray!! None of my files were deleted and all is well!

This last week was a busy, fun, and sad one.

Travis' parents flew in from Georgia and stayed through Saturday. It was fun to go shopping, out to eat, and just sit and talk with them! The kids always love their visits! Noah graduated from kindergarten and had his first T-ball practice. Travis and the boys went to the fathers and sons camp out and Bailey and I watched a princess movie in her pink tent at home.

The sad part of this past week was the sudden passing of one of my girls camp leaders. She went in for a routine gall bladder surgery and they found stage 4 stomach cancer. She passed away 2 days later. She was a woman that I looked up to very much. She lived her life full of joy and made everyone she met feel loved and accepted. I will treasure the time that I was able to spend with her and will remember her fabulous example for the rest of my life!

Girls camp is next week! Ahhhhh!! This week will be full of last minute shopping and trying to fill the shoes of an amazing women so that camp can go on as planned.

Happy summer to all!!!

fathers and sons campout...

This last Friday and Saturday was our wards Fathers and Sons campout. This was Travis' first time taking the boys. It was really cold, but they had a lot of fun. The boys thought it was just the neatest thing to be in the woods with dad!

kindergarten graduation...

Noah's kindergarten graduation was on Thursday. They sang lots of songs and his teacher Mrs. Paxman put together the cutest slide show of pictures from the whole year!

Noah and Mrs. Paxman

Noah's self portrait is hanging to the right on the bottom with the yellow background.

Noah and a few of his classmates played a lullaby on bells!
