Snow up at camp? Seriously?!!! Unbelievable! So in planning for girls camp we knew that going up into the mountains east of Heber, UT the second week of June the chances of it being super warm was slim, but we had hopes of sunny skies and mild temperatures. Wrong!!! We had just enough calm weather to set up our tents and kitchen before the rain started. Then the next morning the snow came! I would say about 2 inches total fell. It put a little kink in our plans, but our spirits weren't dampened! Not that you can tell that from the face of one of my girls!!
No eating here...we ended up huddling in our cars and then finally ended up in the Stake YW presidencies covered shelter.
(I am putting this video here so I can be the first one to post a video of camp. My leader Sherrie has a really embarrassing video that will surely show up on her blog, so although this is not embarrassing, I at least posted first! HA HA and NEENER NEENER!!)
The next morning however we awoke to snow covering our tents. Again! It had snowed during the night! Other than the crazy weather it was such a neat experience to be up in the mountains with my girls. To feel the Spirit and enjoy learning and growing together!
I love girls camp!!!

Looks like fun...and cold. Glad you girls survived!!
I loved it too. Everything was amazing.
I am glad it went well, I cant believe it snowed, I so would have cried. I guess it makes us appreciate our warm homes.
I cannot believe it snowed! Wait, yes I can! Glad everything went well!
Where do you guys camp? We would always be at Camp Aerie or something which is near Heber and yes, it snowed my first year of girls camp...in July. It was freezing! But I still loved it as I'm sure your girls did too. It makes for a great memory.
Glad you are home safe and sound. Wow, why didn't you bring the snow back here so we could cool down! HEE HEE! Looks like fun and glad you had a blast!
Hey!!! My hips look huge! Oh yeah I was wearing three, count'em, yes three pairs of pants!! And for all of you who would like to see that embarrassing post of Heather please follow the James and Sherrie link.
Our girls are leaving for girls camp today, they are headed to air conditioned cabins and bunk beds. Not my idea of camping, and teaching wilderness skills but what do you do. I need to show them your pictures. Then they'll know what girls camp is supposed to be like! :)
