in San Fran...

Yesterday Travis and I arrived in San Francisco. He is here for a work conference so I tagged along! It was a beautiful, but windy day. We ate linner at the Cheesecake factory. Our service was SO slow...I was trying not to get annoyed because seriously we weren't in any rush. It ended up paying off in the end because the server only charged us for Travis' meal and our two drinks. Free meal and cheesecake always makes me smile! We tried the new 30th anniversary cheesecake. Yummo! We got it to go and brought it back to the hotel. This is a funny hotel...or well maybe I just don't stay in "nice" hotels very often. NO contenental breakfast, NO mini fridge (okay thats not true...there is one, but it is filled with drinks and liqure that you can purchase), and not little microwave! So we took a few cans of stuff out of the fridge and smushed out cheesecake in there to keep it cool. Nothing is quite as relaxing as eating cheesecake in bed, no kiddos to worry about, and watching a great Jazz game!

On my agenda today...NOTHING!! At least nothing that I don't wanna do! Somehow I need to get some breakfast and lunch. It feels great to have a whole day to myself.

This video is a few months old, but it cracks me up every single time I watch it! I LOVE how Max just falls down and lays there! Playing with trucks is hard work...and so is falling down and getting up all the time! Too funny!

Okay...so these are totally 1 week after the fact, but it was a great day! He chose to eat at McDonalds for dinner (I totally can't wait for their tastes in eating out to change) and then we came back home for cake and presents! He received the coolest ant farm from his grandma and grandpa and his main present from us was a new BIG bike!

Zach is such a sweetheart! He has so much passion and energy every single day. Sometimes it gets him into trouble, but he never shys away from an adventure. He loves his big brother Noah and they LOVE to play together. He has even been getting along better with Bailey which is such a delight to both HER and I! I am so glad that Zach is a part of our family!

scrapped ultrasound pics...

I just had to share the layout that I did for the ultrasound pictures. I used gg digital designs-My Baby Boy kit. (little bit of info...in case you didn't know I was accepted onto the creative team over at gg digital designs...so every once in a while I will be plugging her stuff...which I TOTALLY love! It's always good to give credit where credit is due!) Plus, it helps me stay caught up on my scrappin for this year...so far so good!

I also scrapped the pages of Zach's birthday pictures but I realized when I was done that I used the new kit that is coming out this Friday so I can't post until then...stay tuned... her new Birthday Kit is SO stinkin cute!

We had our ultrasound appointment today at 10am. We learned that everything is growing, normal and healthy! I always come away feeling such relief and peace at knowing that I have a happy healthy baby growing inside! We also chose to find out the gender...It's a Boy!!

I won't try to explain the picture below...lets just say that if you know how to look at ultra sound pictures you will know EXACTLY what this is! ; ) I don't think that I have ever had an ultra sound picture quite like this!

And it wouldn't be a great appointment unless they send me home with my coveted profile face shot! I just want to squish him already!
After the appointment we did what we always do...go buy an outfit! I got the cutest striped kimono onesie! I had a few of the same ones only different patterns for Max and I loved them...so I just HAD to get one for this little guy!



I am so grateful for the wonderful blessing I have of being a mommy! I love each of my kids and can't imagine my life without them! 5 sometimes seems like a TON of kids, but I know that I will have the Lord's help in being the best mommy that I can. I also know that He will bless my children with the patience to put up with ALL of my weaknesses. What a great day!

Now off to bake an eyeball cake for Zach's birthday...yep...it is my pickles birthday today too! Can he really be 7? More picture to follow later!
