There are only two rooms in our house that have yet to be painted. Every time Travis walks into the loft upstairs he says, "we need to do something about this room. Paint it or something!" So I decided to use this week while Travis was gone at a Conference in Texas for work to surprise him. I spent all evening on Monday and the morning of Tuesday painting the 2 coats of the darker shade, and then Tuesday night doing the stripes. I am so pleased. It turned out exactly how I pictured it! Don't you love it when that happens!?! So here are some pics of the finished product:
I even had the kids add their handprints on the half wall by the stairs in the lighter paint!
I only did the stripes on one wall. The guy at the paint shop taught me a great technique for sealing the painters tape so that the paint doesn't bleed underneath. It worked like a charm!

I love it!!!!!!!!! I will most likely be copying it in my loft or some other room in the house. I love that it's not so bold and in your face, just a slight accent! Great Job!

It turned out so cute. That looks like so much work. Did you use glaze on the tape to keep it from spreading? I just learned that tip last night at our enrichment. It really does look classy. Travis will love it.
