24 weeks in...

Okay...so here is the state of the union...I am a little over 24 weeks along...we now know it is a boy...picking a name has been a battle of pride for me.

Our list was something like this:
Oscar
Oliver
Owen
Eli

I know...a lot of O names! I really liked Oscar and thought I would totally be able to wear Travis down and he would eventually give in. When I would mention this name to others I would get comments like: " Like Oscar Meyer wieners?" or..."Like Oscar the grouch!" in my mind I would think, "Ya, but I was worried people would call Max, maxi pad and they haven't...yet...!" Travis liked the name Owen the best. Now...I like the name Owen, but my pride was pushing for Oscar because that was MY suggestion. Last week as I was thinking about this little bundle of joy and I just knew that his name was Owen. {sigh} I haven't told Travis yet! ; ) Time to let go of my pride and enjoy knowing that our little one probably has a name now.

Another fact at 24 weeks is that I feel pretty good! The nausea has pretty much disappeared and I feel the perfect size belly wise! Not to big...not to small...big enough to for sure look pregnant, but not too small where people wonder if you are just putting on a little weight! (and also not big enough that people feel sorry for you!) I have trouble with acid reflux, but this is to be expected...

I LOVE food! Okay let me clarify...food that I DON'T have to make myself! I crave anything and everything that I don't have to plan and prepare myself! Example: I have a yummy batch of chicken salad that I made a few days ago that I LOVE and enjoy, but instead I am sitting here eating Peanut M&Ms because just grabbing the bag was SO much easier!

Oh ya...and I'm tired, but I haven't been sleeping well! I get so SINKIN' hot during the night and somewhere in the middle of the night I think about going down stairs and getting one of the body pillows from the family room, but then I just can't even dream about getting up! Why I don't think of getting one BEFORE I go to sleep...don't ask me I don't know!

Like I said at the beginning of this post...this is the state of the union folks...not to complain...but this is just how things are right now!

I LOVE being pregnant! I LOVE feeling the baby move! I LOVE that we will be having another baby join our family! I LOVE being a mommy! Life is great! (now I just need to think of a great reason why Travis should NEED to bring home dinner!)

Owen and Eli were #1 and #2 on our list for a long time and then somehow he turned into a Beckham. Funny how names work....plus I like to feel them move and feel their personalities inside me. :)

I really like Owen. And Eli was a name we talked about a lot before finding out every baby was a girl. :) I think you've made a good choice! Glad you're feeling pretty good now.

Awww, I love the name! And I am glad that you are feeling better, too.

I like Owen. Super cute!

Just being prego should be reason enough to have Travis bring home dinner. At least I played that card WAY more than I should have. Joe always loves going out, so he never questioned. Bad combo!

I hope you can get some sleep...maybe a nap here and there if you can't sleep at night. Ahh, body pillows rule!

I like the name Owen too, of your choices...OWen stood out to me the most. Will he have a middle name?

I totally understand about the food thing!!!
