Noah's birthday usually happens during the kids fall break at school. In our family we have "friend" parties on even birthdays and "family" parties on odd numbered birthdays. It just so happens that on the last 2 of Noah's odd # birthdays my parents have had their condo up in Park City. He LOVES to celebrate his birthday up there!! This year my parents thought it would be fun to take him on a ski lift ride up the mountain. I was originally planning on staying behind with Max and Owen, but my dad (who is not a fan of heights) graciously offered to stay behind and let me go! (thanks dad!) I am SO glad I got to go! It was absolutely beautiful!! I think it is now on my "must do" list for every year from here on out! The trees were SO breathtaking. It was a little chilly, but next year I will be better prepared!

After the ski lift ride we headed to the resort's pool. The kids enjoyed playing and sitting in the hot tub!

After the pool we went out to dinner and then back again to the condo to open presents and have cake and ice cream. We bought Noah a new helmet and knee pads...(for which he was grateful, but what he really really wanted was a skateboard...)
I was a little nervous to be buying a skate board, but Noah is pretty responsible and was SO happy it made it worth the risks!

I can't believe that my oldest is 9! His last year in the single digits! I love Noah SO much! He has such a sensitive tender heart. He has always been so thoughtful and observant. He has an innate sense for what is right and usually does a good job of making good decisions. Out of all my children Noah is the most like me. We tend to bang heads sometimes I can usually relate and understand where he is coming from. I hope and wish the world for him! It was a GREAT day!

What a fun birthday! Shane and I did that ski lift in the Fall once when we lived there! IT WAS GORGEOUS! Every year I die wanting to come visit during the Fall....just to soak in all the beautiful Fall color on the mountains! ONE of these years we will do it again! I'm glad you all had a great time!
