it all comes to a close...

Tonight is it folks! The last game of the season. Not only is it the last game (hurray!), but it is the best game of the year. I hope that the Cougars can pull it off! Last night we were driving in the car and Bailey was sitting in the back saying, "Rah rah rah rah rah goooooooo cougars!" over and over. It was so cute! I glanced over at Travis and he was beaming with pride! She has never even been to a game. I think she will be ready next year! We might need to start memorizing the fight song now.

we are so excited for the BIG game, although- we wish we could watch it. We miss BYU but cheer for them from afar!

I struggle to even read this blog entry! Wow a tough game. I am still convinced in the Max Hall conspiracy. He had to have been paid off by one of the MWC university presidents to throw the game...who really throws 5 ints. After all, each team gets $600,000 if BYU lost and Utah gets a BCS bid. Ok, so I don't really believe that, but it happens...read about the story of "Shoeless" Joe Jackson

Although I agree with Travis - both about the game being tough and that 5 interceptions is pretty suspicious - I have to argue the Shoeless Joe point. There is nothing in his stats to prove that Jackson did anything to throw those games. During the Series, Jackson had 12 hits and a .375 batting average—in both cases leading both teams. He had 0 errors, and even threw out a runner at the plate, as well as hitting a home run and a two-run double in game 8. Hall's fumble, 5 interceptions, AND costly personal foul raise my eyebrows much more than someone playing his heart out in the world series with no paper-proof to hint at conspiracy. Sorry, you hit a soft spot. :) I still love 'em....Go Cougars! And Bailey singing the fight song is totally awesome!
