This week is spring break for this area. I keep feeling like we should be doing something cool, something big, something different. The only problem is that Travis doesn't have work off and we are saving his days off for the summer. All around me people are going to Disneyland, Hawaii, the beach, cabins etc... I find myself thinking, "hey I wanna go somewhere too!"
I have tried to do little things each day that make it different than normal. We have ordered pizza (okay, now that is not so out of the ordinary, but it did feel festive!), gone to Cabellas, ate breakfast at McDonalds, played at the park, had a picnic lunch in the backyard, etc...
So here is my salute to all of the rest of us who aren't going anywhere cool this week!!! It doesn't have to be cool just make it different!

We're boring as well! Breakfast at McDonald's sounds like something I could get on board with, though....hmmmm.
Yeah, I thought about going to California to visit Nate's fam - but the idea of traveling with 3 kids without Nate kept me from actually doing it. The breakfast at McDonald's sounds like a great idea- it's my favorite meal they serve anyway! We went to lunch with Grandpa yesterday- that was different from the norm.
We arent going anywhere this week either, in fact I didnt know it was spring break until Sally made mention of it on my blog. Guess I am out of the loop!
So who is going to Hawaii, CA etc? Oh I guess those people don't have time to post. I'll meet you at McD's any time!
Mike and I wish we were going someplace cool. I keep hearing all these neat places that my coworkers and students are going to this summer. Punta Cana, Cancun, Florida, Hawaii, Switzerland, etc. I just figure I'll have more money in the bank because I didn't blow it on a cool vacation even though it would be fun!
