So if any of you follow my projects over at Poppies you know that I have been working on this quilt for almost a year and a half! Well...actually I bought the fabric in April of 09, but I didn't even start working on it until THIS April. It came together fairly quickly and then I had it machine quilted right after. It has sat on my desk until yesterday. I have been waiting hoping to finish the edge the way I picture in my head. Maybe some cute thick ric rac or...something. Yesterday I looked at it and thought, "I could wait for the perfect edging and risk never using it with this last baby (because lets be honest the likely hood of me finishing it after this baby arrives is slim to none)...or I could just finish it the quick and easy way and have it ready and waiting for little Owen to arrive! So yesterday I finished it! I LOVE it! It is even cuter after being washed and now the fabric puckers around the stitching. It feels SO good to have done!

Fabulous Heather! I love the back... it's such a cute cute quilt! What a great feeling of accomplishment right before that new baby comes along!!! :)
looks cute! doesn't it feel good to have a project accomplished. I know that feeling myself. And you have decided on a name for the little man! Owen....such a good choice. :)

I just started working on Jenna's quilts for her bunk bed again, I just have the binding to do as well!! And my goal is also to finish before the baby arrives. So thanks for the motivation :)
