With the 4th landing on a Sunday this year we celebrated all weekend long. Normally the Grand Parade in Provo and the fireworks are all on the same day, but for some reason all the fireworks were Saturday and the parade wasn't until Monday. So Saturday we headed up the canyon to Bridal Veil Falls and enjoyed a picnic lunch, lots of chatting, and some splashing in the water.

Noah is looking like such a BIG kid!

This is a typical Max face...it's almost like he is saying "Mom...no pictures...I'm eating my animal crackers right now!"

Travis never passes up on an opportunity to pose for the camera...

The boys had fun climbing in the hills and Zach actually caught a small snake! They had fun holding it and showing it to just about anyone who would look at it!

As always Max was pretty relaxed and happy the whole time. He enjoyed sitting on Grandma's lap most of the afternoon!

After we returned from the canyon we had pizza for dinner and then headed to Thanksgiving Point for the free fireworks. It was pretty chilly and windy...unusual for so late in the summer!

Once again...Travis posing for the camera. For father's day I got him this T-shirt that says "Top Gun" on it. I guess he just wanted to show it off!

The sun went down with fireworks of it's own...the sunset was beautiful!
On Sunday we got together for dinner at my parents house and enjoyed a relaxing Sunday together.
Monday morning found us waiting for the parade to start.

As is tradition we stopped on our way to the parade and picked up doughnuts and chocolate milk! I think Bailey's way of drinking is pretty funny. I told her to be careful not to spill...so I guess her thinking is that if you put your WHOLE mouth over the opening there is NO WAY it will spill out!

Me and Travis!

Zach enjoyed watching all of the emergency and police vehicles that start out the parade...the sirens were a little loud though...

There were a lot of boy scouts in the parade to help celebrate 100 years of scouting...

Bailey was SO excited when she saw the HUGE Curious George balloon coming down the street!
After the parade we returned home for a little lunch and quiet time. Then we headed to the theater to watch Toy Story 3. It was a cute movie. After one last stop by Grandma and Grandpa's house we headed home for some spur of the moment backyard sprinklers and dinner.

Max LOVES this little orange car. You have to pull him out kicking and screaming when it is time to go inside. Even though his little teeth were chattering he refused to come inside and warm up! What a cutie!
We had a fun packed weekend and are now super tired, but happy to have spent the whole time together as a family!

What a great weekend! It looks like your kids had a blast! At first glance that pic of Noah looks like he's sporting a tall mohawk.
