firsts...

Zach started soccer last week. We got a picture before his first game but forgot the camera in the car during the game. So I will post more pictures from his game tomorrow! He was so cute. He tried to gather all his teammates into a huddle. He quickly found out that running back and forth across the field was tiring. After a while his coach rotated him out and put someone else in. On his next time out on the field he came running to where we were sitting on the sidelines and said, "When you get tired you can take breaks!" He was so pleased! His team and the teams that he will play against are made up of kindergarteners and 1st graders. The team he played was mostly big kids. He kept saying, "that team is giving us a hard time!" What a cutie!

This morning Noah started 1st grade! He was so excited! Normally he will ride the bus, but for the first 2 days I am planning on taking him. Today he was supposed to meet in his class room so we walked with him to drop him off and make sure he knew how to get there. Tomorrow he is supposed to play on the playground until the bell rings and his teacher will pick up his class. I will go tomorrow with him and make sure he knows where to line up. I was worried after our traumatic drop off last year that this year he would be shy, but he walked right in and listened to his teacher's instructions about where to hang up his back pack and find his desk. This will be his first experience with packing a lunch and eating in the lunch room. I can't wait until he gets home to hear all about his first day!

Your boys look so grown up. I'm excited for you to have one with a full day. It feels really long the first day, but it sure is nice! Zach looks adorable in his soccer gear.

Wow Heather, you have a first grader! I can't believe it, but I also find it hard to believe that Trinity will be old enough for pre-school next year. We are getting old!! not really, hahaha.

We would have loved to have been at Zach's first soccer game. Travis filled us in. What a HOOT!! Noah looks so grown as he starts first grade. Before we know it he will be in a cap and gown.

I am trying to put together an indoor soccer team. Can I sign Zach up on my team?? We can make him a fake ID if necessary. He could probably pass for 18, don't you think?
