Well...as the time draws nearer for our little baby to join our family we have been slowly getting ready. Really the only thing that still needs to be done is getting the crib ready. Right now Bailey has still been taking her naps in it in our closet. About a month ago I bought some curtains to put in her room to help make her room darker for nap time, but I have yet to try her nap in her bed yet. I think deep down I know that once she is kicked out of the completely dark closet and into her room it will be the end of nap time forever! Boy do I really really not want that to happen. She will still take a 2-3 hour nap! But time is still ticking down and our little guy will be here soon. I need to bite the bullet and get it done..."Ahhhhhh! Do I really have too!" I find my self whining in my mind! I might give it a go today...wish me luck!

Good luck!! I love nap time...don't know what I'd do without it.
The main reason I can still get Jackson to take a nap on days he doesn't have preschool is because we have a lock on his bedroom door that is turned around so we can lock him in. He doesn't always sleep, sometimes just plays, but most of the time he ends up in bed to sleep.
I know how precious that nap time can be. Gabe still naps, but Noah is past it for the most part. I would say sooner rather than later if Bailey is attached to the crib in the closet. You don't want her to feel like the baby is taking something away from her. Let her get used to napping in her room before you have the headache of competition with the little one. Good luck with that!
I am NOT ready to kick James out of his crib either. For a long time, I wanted to just get another crib for our upcoming baby, but I knew that would end up being a waste of money. James is probably more ready for a Big Boy Bed than I am.
Good luck!
Ok Heath, it's time for some tough love! Bailey is three, you can do it! Try the black out curtains, or whatever she needs to have complete darkness in her room, but with less than a month it's time to make the transition! Otherwise it will be much worse if a few weeks.
Good luck! The boys' naptime is hit and miss, and boy do I miss it when it doesn't happen!
I'd say either transition now, or just continue letting her sleep in there and Max can sleep in a port-a-crib or bassinet or whatever. It's not like newborns care where they are while they sleep.
Naptime can be very precious, especially at the end of pregnancy and then again once you have a new baby! I'd give it a try for a few days, and if she has a hard time and you don't care, just let her go back in the crib for naps. Baby can nap somewhere else.
Good luck!!! You're so close!
Ugh, I hate it when they give up nap time! Good luck!!
Well I have to say, it might be too early for nap time to go away! Tony and Mike took naps until they were in kindergarden. Even after school then for a bit! Children need their sleep ya know! Plus it gives Mommy more time to do things! Just a thought and love to you all, Aunt Laurie
